AUDIO CONFERENCE PRODUCER

Progressive Business Publications (PBP) has the largest and best
performing B2B (business-to-business) audio conference team in the
country. We engage the country’s best subject-matter speakers and have
the largest audiences for our events. PBP produces over 600 annual audio
Conferences per year.

In today’s highly competitive, fast changing environment, keeping up to
date in one’s field is critical. Executives need the latest information
for creating action steps for themselves and their companies to remain
Relevant and competitive.

Job description:

• The Producer will act as ‘product manager’ and be responsible for
managing a series of audio conferences targeting mid and senior
management from leading companies nationwide.
• Analyze research and use critical thinking to develop audio conference
programs that meet the stated needs of the market.
• Identify, invite and confirm appropriate speakers for conferences.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key professionals, industry
leaders, and senior executives within relevant markets.
• Responsible for the implementation of strategic marketing plans for
each event including development, production and tracking of email
promotions.
• Once built, your content will become a nationally-attended conference
with participation from hundreds of opinion leaders from throughout an
industry.

The conference producer will possess:

• Conceptual ability to rapidly develop competent knowledge on diverse
topics.
• Excellent networking and information gathering abilities.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with
and relate to all levels both within and outside the organization.
• Time and priority management skills necessary to complete work within
established time frames.
• Enthusiastic with a strong desire to succeed.
• Ability to analyze ideas from a commercial perspective.
• Write accurate and compelling marketing copy.

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Self-starter who is undaunted by constant multi-tasking.
• At least 1 year business experience or relevant internship, preferably
in journalism, marketing, market research, business management and/or
sales.
• Skill and experience using word processing programs, email and the
internet to perform daily job.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Past conference/publishing production experience is a plus.

Profile/Primary Responsibilities:

• Understand markets/industry/customers

• Generate conference topics

• Be in contact with high-level speakers

• Create program agendas

• Write interesting marketing copy to market the conference on the
Internet

• Superior communication skills

• Multi-taker. Able to hit deadlines and evaluate priorities, based on
impact

• Be measured on a Bonus Plan Goal
