SUPPORT TECHNICIAN – COMPUTER HELP DESK

We’re looking for an entry level support technicians and network support personnel to join our growing business. This is a great chance for the new graduate to land that first real opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day help desk support for our on-site and off-site end users focusing on remote telemarketing locations.
• Efficiently handle incoming calls for help-desk support.
• Interact with developers, programmers, and management to determine problems and solutions.
• Proactively implement hardware, software, process, and procedures to insure best possible stability in our diverse desktop computing environments.
• Maintain daily logs of all activities, procedures, and communications.
• Follow detailed instructions and protocols to ensure consistent end user satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Ability to multi-task
• Experience solving desktop hardware and software support issues efficiently and successfully
• Strong communication skills
• Extremely reliable and punctual
• Willingness to pitch in wherever needed

Qualifications:

• Two or more years work experience with a record of unique contribution and success
• Or
• A uniquely successful academic experience with internship, unique project, or other distinguishing accomplishment.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in both technical and nontechnical settings
• Experience supporting PC operating systems
• An Associate’s degree or comparable training in computer support, networking, computer science or related discipline.

· Produce high quality results while working within a tight deadline.

Qualifications

· Two or more years experience with a record of unique contribution and success

· Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in both technical and nontechnical settings

· A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline

· Skills include a strong combination of

o Core web development skills - HTML, CSS, JavaScript

o Web development using open source tools - PHP, MySQL, Wordpress

o Web development using Microsoft tools - ASP, MS SQL, VB Script

o Working knowledge of related hosting environments - Windows server, IIS, Linux, and Apache
