PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER

Director of Customer Experience Role, Responsibility and Scorecard

I. Overview:
Extraordinary opportunity for bright, energetic Customer Experience Director that wants the opportunity to improve significant revenue streams at a Built-to-Last company. This role is designed for a seasoned marketing executive to own the customer experience and increase loyalty / repeat business amongst our large and growing customer base of over 150,000 B2B executives. Must have deep customer understanding, leadership ability, an entrepreneurial spirit and work well in a team environment.

Progressive Business Publications is uniquely positioned to expand our highly successful business. We currently educate over 150,000 executives annually through just our audio conference division. Over the past seven years we have successfully launched 8 new significant businesses – all of which fit with the strategy of doing more business with each customer. We now seek a Director of Customer Experience to make sure the customer experience is outstanding so as to increase our customer loyalty and ultimately the amount of repeat business received across our various divisions.

This is an extraordinary opportunity as PBP currently provides a wealth of functional and vertical based information to over 150,000 executives through:

  • Audio Conferences – We are the largest b2b provider of audio conferences, doing approximately 650 for 50,000 executives annually, across most functional areas including Human Resources, Finance, attorneys, educators, healthcare and IT.
  • Publications - Over 60 high priced quality subscription publications including 24 B2B newsletters for executives in most functional areas, 10 annual case law books with accompanying monthly newsletters for Educators, HR professionals and lawyers, 3 On-Line / CD Rom training programs; 3 healthcare newsletters and 10 advertising-free buyers guides for purchasing office equipment
  • Executive Reports – 2007 start up that is producing over 100 whitepaper reports annually (20-30 pages in length) for senior level executives.
  • E-zines – 16 bi-monthly email newsletters supporting our print publications, to approximately 3 million executives per month.
  • Ad-zines-14 weekly advertising supported websites with national sponsors including IBM, Microsoft, SAP and Comcast.
  • Advanced Education and Certification Programs for Experienced Executives

This person will work with the business unit leaders to develop the strategies and lead the execution to ensure our customers have an outstanding customer experience. S/he will focus on making sure we provide unrelenting quality experiences in all customer touch points so as to build customer loyalty, driving repeat business, to maximize the opportunity for the hundreds of thousands of executives annually, who purchase one or several of our specialized information products.

II. Mission:
The Customer Experience Director (CER) will be responsible for making sure our customers have an outstanding customer experience with us. CER will review, develop and implement successful marketing initiatives to earn customer loyalty, foster community, drive user activity and ultimately drive increased market share. The mission is to manage the migration from a current transactional mentality to a future state that delivers a great customer experience.

III. Qualifications:

  1. Ability to prepare and execute a business plan that improves business performance.
  2. 4+ year track record in customer experience / loyalty marketing. Should include direct marketing, sound understanding of online community dynamics, viral activation and customer relationship management
  3. Demonstrated success in executing initiatives
  4. Brand campaigns designed to make sure users have a great customer experience
  5. Experience tracking, analyzing and reporting of metrics and ability to take action based on results.
  6. Understand the direct-response model and solid experience with email marketing/analytics
  7. Strong multi-tasker, who is a creative thinker, has strong analytical skills and is quality oriented.
  8. Self-motivated, results oriented person seeking to have impact at a successful, growing company.

PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER

  • Self-starter who is thrives in a meritocracy and is energized by multi-tasking.
  • At least 1 year business experience, preferably in marketing
  • Experience in Word, Excel, email and the internet to perform daily job.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
